2019-20 Premiers 4th Grade

2019/2020 The year of the COVID-19 virus.

Well the season certainly didn’t finish the way we would of liked but The Mighty 4th Grade Destroyers and 2019/20 Premiers will take the final result after a strong year. It was an honour having the privilege of leading such a great group of lads. There were 31 guys that played and contributed including 2 from our winning U/15 Div 2 team in Mitch Parkes and Harry Baird who both played significant parts and we had 4 U/17s too, the main ones in Brendan Palmer , Henry Shephard having big impacts.

Great season from Nick Mladenovic finnishing 6th in the 4th grade runscorers with 570 runs @ 38 and David Rogers in 17th with 424 @ 30.29

Our bowlers were our strength this year with 5 in the top 20 wicket takers.

Adam Bell in 9th with 21 @ 16.57, Lincoln Hansen in 14th with 18 @ 11.22, Andy Keay in 15th with 17 @ 14.59, Graham Field in 16th with 17 @ 16.82, and Dirk Whelan in 19th with 16 @ 12.56 doing the heavy lifting building pressure for them to fall the other end a lot of the time.

We had a celebrity appearance from a club favourite in Joshua Whybird, another couple from ex Pres Josh Mitchell and a regular gig spinning up a web after Xmas was Creeeeg Craig Robinson.

Thanks to our amazing support crew the Mladenovic family Milka Mladenovic who were there every game screaming support and put on a bbq at the ground for one of the last games which was greatly appreciated. Also to the club, Paul Baird for running training, Paul Baker coming to score some games and David O’Donnell and the committee for all the hard work they put in so we could have a fun season and also some success on the paddock. Last but not least thanks to the 4’s players for putting up with me all year, you guys rock !!
