Seniors Cricket Club
Our seniors play in the Cricket Gold Coast competition. We field teams from 1st grade through to 6th grade. We accept all skill levels and encourage everyone to have a go at the highest level they want to reach with their cricket.
Our club has a senior coach who drives our aim to work hard on the skills development of all our players. We also enjoy a good laugh and play as a team within the spirit of cricket.
Senior cricket – 1st to 6th grade
Our senior club philosophy is to select players on their ability throughout all grades. We operate a results-based promotion system and all players are to be available for selection in any grade (certain work commitments are considered an exception).
Our selection process considers the following factors, in this order, for all grades: (1) financial; (2) attitude; (3) performance; (4) training; (5) potential; (6) previous season’s performance; and (7) opportunity to responsibly promote our promising youth.
All grades train together on Tuesdays and Thursdays (at least one night per week is expected of players from the top three grades) from 5pm to 7.15pm at our main ground, Hession Oval. Teams are announced in the clubhouse and on the club Facebook page after training on Thursdays. The clubhouse is open for drinks on Thursday nights after training. Game times are Saturdays 12.15pm to 5.30pm.
