2016-17 Pre-Season Cricket Schedule
Our club coach Jamie Weston has been hard at work creating this year’s pre-season activities. A good mix of social and competitive events for you to catch up with friends and blow out the rust from the off season, ready to hit the ground running come October 8th.
PRE-SEASON SCHEDULE 2016/17
Training Dates
Training will begin twice a week on Tuesday 30th of August.
Golf Day – Saturday 3rd September
Hawks social golf day at Lakeside Country Club. 10am – 1:30pm. $20 per person include BBQ
Game 1 – Saturday 10th September
Annual 6 a side Tournament at Hession Oval. 8am – 3pm. $10 per person include BBQ
Game 2 – Sunday 11th September
40/40 Practice game – Under 17’s vs Over 40’s at Rugby Park
Game 3 – Saturday 17th September
1st / 2nd XI Trial Game vs Queens Cricket Club at Hession Oval.
Internal Trial – 35/35 at Rugby Park – Arrive at 9:45am for a 10:30am start
Game 4 – Saturday 24th of September
Internal Trial 40/40 at Hession Oval – Arrive 9:30am for a 10:30am start.
Internal Trial 35/35 at Pacific Pines SHS – Arrive 9:30am for a 10:30am start.
Game 5 – Sunday 25th September
Trial match – Over 40’s vs Beenleigh – Hession Oval
Friday 30th September – Junior Season Launch
Gathering at 6:00pm for a 6:30pm start til around 7:30pm – We welcome all Juniors from U10 to U17 to the clubhouse for the 2016/17 Hawks shirt presentation ceremony, where players will be given their playing apparel for the upcoming season.
Game 6 – Saturday 1st of October
Under 23 vs Over 23 T20 Exhibition Game at Hession Oval – Arrive at 9am for 10am start followed by a BBQ and AFL Grand Final in the club house.
Game 7 – Sunday 2nd October
1st XI Trial Game vs Palm Beach at Hession Oval
Thursday 6th October – Season Launch
This is a formal team announcement night and is a compulsory night for all senior players. Players will hear from the President, Senior VP, Coach and each captain.
All players to collect playing shirts and caps – First grade team presented with their Baggy Greens.
Season starts – Saturday 8th October for all grades.
